Our Mission & Vision
Solutions4CYFD is dedicated to strengthening the safety, accountability, and effectiveness of New Mexico’s child welfare system through constructive policy reform, community advocacy, and collaboration with the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD). Our mission is to identify policy gaps that place children, families, and frontline workers at risk and to propose practical solutions that improve shelter safety, promote fairness and accountability, and support the professionals responsible for protecting vulnerable youth. By working with policymakers, community leaders, and child welfare professionals, Solutions4CYFD seeks to build a safer, more transparent system where children in state custody receive the protection, dignity, and stability they deserve while ensuring that staff are supported, respected, and able to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
